One of India’s most sought-after corporate events, TATA HITACHI World Corporate Golf Challenge concluded with Team Hyderabad qualifying to compete under the Tricolour at the WCGC World Final to be held in Cascais, Portugal from June 21 to 25. Pradeep Mittal and his teammate Madhav Kota defeated 10 other teams at a well contested final held at Prestige Golfshire, Bengaluru. Over 500 corporate executives competed for the coveted trophy in four qualifiers held in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi NCR and Bengaluru where 20 players (10 teams) battled it out to represent corporate India at the World Finals. Former Indian seamer, Ajit Agarkar won the India Finals of BMR World Corporate Golf Challenge held at Prestige Golfshire, Bengaluru. Ajit Agarkar and his team mate Shabbir Rawjee, playing off handicaps 17 and 19 respectively, triumphed with a total of 62 stableford points. Former cricketer from Karnataka who played two one day internationals for India in 1996, Sujit Somasunder with an individual score of 35, finished as winner on Day – I of the Bengaluru Leg of BMR World Corporate Golf Challenge held on 13th – 14th May, at Prestige Golfshire, Bengaluru. WCGC is the biggest international corporate golf team event worldwide involving more than 7500 corporate executives in 40 countries. The two-day qualifying leg at Bengaluru witnessed close to 100 amateur golfers showcasing their golfing prowess.
